John Hooke Chapter 15 Responce

John hooke Chapter 15 response

March 5 1630,

We have been here for almost 10 years now. Surprisingly King Charles sent out puritans to come bring food for us and settle here too. I have been here for 10 years that is crazy I am going absolutely crazy. Once I came I was only 12 , but now I am 23 years old and married a lovely women named Jenifer ,but we haven't had any children yet. There were a vary large amount of puritans who came.

March 8 1630,
It was a very chilly mornin today ,but the sun was out. The towns folk were all gathered today at the town for a meeting with some of the puritans whom have had arived a few days ago. The meeting was about the word King James had sent out to us and it was about the colony to see how we were doing and what we needed to do. I was pretty disipointed when I found out that was the reason they came ,but man there were almost 1000 were there.

March 17 1630,
You know who I really hate those Quakers cause they always think Im worng and there usually right ....ahhhh...... that agrivates me so much. They help the devil I say they help the devil!! When the quakers came to New England i was very happy when they were whipped.

March 20 1630,

John Hooke's Journal Chapter 14 Response

October 7th 1621
The Natives are very kind we would have died without them, they helped us get food, shelter, and survive. We had a gathering with the natives which I wrote about ummmmm..... lets see I think it was one year ago and I called them demons they are actually quite nice. I met a nice boy named Namibia he is a nice kid I showed him my knife and he showed me his weapons. It was quite astounding when John Carver was walking chief Massasoit to his hut there were trumpets and drums and John gave him refreshments. Then I found out that all of that was for was to settle a peace treaty.
October 12,
Today is a very exciting day because we had the chance to meet back up with the natives for a feast which the elders are calling Thanks Giving (odd , Isn't it). Surprisingly every one brought food to the gather which was nice and some of the foods we ate were turkey, geese, clams, eels, squash, and those were just the beggining of what we had.

October 14,
It is a sad day today our beloved govener John Carver has died suddenly today which no one knows why. William Bradford has been also elected today as our new governor which I dont know if that is a good thing or bad.

John Hooke Chapter 13 Response

Journal of John Hooke Chapter 13

September 6,
We leave from the harbor it is misty from the morning fog the waves are calm was boat was smooth sailing. For awhile most of the sailors were getting the sea sickness. I was quite discusted by everyone vomited because i got weird things on me from all of the vometing I was not afraid to go on this voyage but I could tell that some of the sailors were. I was more excited than scared because I could find gold and would live by me own rules.
The cabins we lived in were the smallest cabins I ever been in, there was no room for me. I always was in the cabins day in and day out, always dark in the cabins. I was surprised about how many men, women, and children came to the new world. I slept with two men and a child which was truly a pain to fit four people in one small bed you try doin' that.

September 8,
A great rain storm has the May flower the waves are tombling and the the thunder was roaring. Water has brushed across the deck sweeping people off their feet. Many of the men stayed somewhat calm in this great storm. I, on the other hand, was panicing like a chicken getting its head choped off.

November 8,
I was in the middle on nowhere with a bunch of random strangers trying to get the new world. It is very sunny outside the deck is nice and hot but the crows nest I think is the best place to be, no one bosses you around, no worries. The men on it were still there mean grumpy old selves.

December 12,
We finaly arived im am so happy the ground is soft ,but in the distance I saw a a creature ..... a black creature with feathers and weopons .... it was moving in an unusual way almost an animal like way .... I tryed to warn the others but no one would answer. They would get closer and closer until they were sounding a noise a beautiful noise but I knew I could never let my gard down. This might be one of my last journal writes.
